Curiosity<\/h3>\n

I grew up in an\u00a0<\/span>international environment<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>(European School). That's probably why I have always been fascinated by cultural differences<\/strong>, languages and the dynamics of diversity.<\/p>\n

Because of my interest in the world, I traveled extensively and worked abroad for a while (Italy, Iraq).<\/p>\n

I am comfortable in international\/multilingual environments<\/strong>, can easily switch language and fluently speak 3 languages (English - Dutch - French). I also speak Italian and German.<\/p>\n

Fascination for groups and the world below the surface<\/h3>\n

At the age of 18 I had my first group dynamic experience<\/strong>: a retreat with all the students from the different language groups of my school. I discovered a new world! I found out that working with a group was a real 'profession'!<\/p>\n

My fascination for groups led me, for more than 33 years now, on a path of discovery. Deeping and broadening my insights in the fabulous and intruiging world of groups.<\/p>\n

The power and potential of strong groups<\/strong> is what drives me in my work.<\/p>\n

Tension and the potential for change<\/h3>\n

During my career I came to the conclusion that collaboration always triggers some form of conflict<\/strong>. I discovered that the conflict perspective is an honest and effective framework to work with the self-evident, and natural tensions that arise in collaboration.<\/p>\n

I look at conflicts as situations that require our explicit attention<\/strong> and that offer the organisation an opportunity for change and growth.<\/p>\n

Creating conditions for a safe and brave space<\/strong> and facilitating 'Courageous Conversations'<\/strong> to build connection is my focus.<\/p>\n

Integral & holistic approach<\/h3>\n

Over the years I have integrated many relevant perspectives<\/strong> and now offer you an interesting mix of solid theoretical background<\/strong>, and many years of experience in organizations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

My work is characterized by an integration of cognitive, emotional, somatic and collective intelligence<\/strong>, as a basis for sustainable change and profound development.<\/p>\n

Writer<\/h3>\n

Writing<\/strong> is like a second nature to me. I just love accurate quotes and inspiring stories.\u00a0I'm good at translating difficult theories, so people in organisations can benefit from great insights.<\/p>\n

I have been writing articles, papers, chapters and blogs<\/strong> for many years.<\/p>\n

I have also published 4\u00a0books<\/strong> in Dutch (so far!) to inspire leaders, consultants and HR managers.<\/p>\n
